Sound Design Demo Reel

In Project Portfolio VI (Audio Arts), I created and implemented key sound design elements for my demo reel and the Blacksmith Game Project. In Week 1, I developed a professional 5-second title card video that included my name and role as a Sound Designer, set against a dynamic moving background. I designed an original sound logo that featured a blend of foreground and background sound elements, with precise sync to on-screen motion and full use of the stereo field through panning and spatial effects. In Week 2, I completed the linear sound design for the Blacksmith Cinematic. This included layered interior and exterior background ambiences, Foley for Völund’s movement and toolbelt, and hard effects such as the wooden chair creak, levitating magic shards, and the heavy wooden doors. Each sound was carefully edited, EQ’d, panned, and mixed in Pro Tools to enhance realism and maintain sync with the video. In Week 3, I focused on nonlinear implementation for the Blacksmith Game Project. I created seamless ambient loops, one-shot Foley and weapon sounds, character vocalizations, and enemy impact effects. After exporting the final assets, I implemented them into the provided Wwise template and adjusted levels to ensure a balanced in-game mix. I then generated the sound bank, tested the sounds within the game environment, and recorded a stereo gameplay video using OBS to showcase the final results.
